Best of Paul Desmond Review: Best of Paul Desmond. No one matches the lyrical sounds of Paul Desmond's Alto. This compilation is great, to say "Best" is inaccurate - "Highlighting" would be better - Paul Desmond is one of the few that produces consistent high quality. No single CD could encompass all his "Best" I have a number of the CD's that are represented here, but it encourages me to obtain some of the others represented here.
